About Thai Yoga Massage :
The practice of Thai yoga Massage spans thousands of years originated from Thailand ,yet because it invokes our innate ability to heal and evolve, it is also the ideal twenty-first-century medicine. And because it affects not only the physical body but also more subtle emotional and spiritual planes ,the result can seem truly miraculous. In Thailand ,Thai yoga practitioners have long been an integral part of the indigenous medical cultural system. The great masters are renowned for curing any number of illnesses ,and people seek out a massage healer just as commonly as those in the West go to a medical doctor, in fact is even different from the approach used for general massage also. Thai yoga massage brings the spirit and benefits of meditation into a practical application and therefore allows people to be touched profoundly. It creates the necessary conditions for invoking the body’s innate pranic healing power, both as therapist and client.
This unique healing system of Thai Yoga Massage is based on yoga, Ayurveda, and Reiki energy in which as a practitioner you'll use your hands, feet, arms, and legs to gently but deep guide the client through a series of yoga postures while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy pathways and pressure points, known in the Thai tradition as sen lines and in Ayurveda as marma points.
Thai Yoga Bodywork begins to stretch and open the body while deeply relaxing the client. Flexibility is not required to receive the benefits, this work can be useful for all body types... This work has been called "lazy person's yoga," as one gets all the benefits of a yoga class without applying any effort. Afterwards, clients tend to feel as if they have been given a new body, one that is more limber, open and more alive. It is a true full body tune-up. This work is also effective for treating specific neuro-muscular problems, including muscle pain,or spasm.
What to Expect from this Training ?
" You will be trained to help yourself and others as Thai Yoga Massasge benefits into the strachings for the giver and also the receiver "
I have synthesized a style of 'Thai Yoga Bodywork' that is not limited by any one form but includes a combination of many healing techniques. My approach to Thai Massage invites one to be fully present while creatively expressing and exploring assisted yoga stretches, deep compression, specific point work, energy line (sen) work, soft tissue manipulation, myofascial release, joint mobilization and release techniques, blending them into an exquisite and seamless healing arts treatment. My trainings are rooted in principles of mindfulness and loving kindness, inviting my students to explore the depths of their own ability to be present, to love, to care, to feel and to offer themselves in the service of others. The result is quite profound..
